Full Job Description

Altman Management Company, LLC is a long-standing, leading Property Management company with over 85 beautiful apartment communities throughout PA, DE, and NJ. We are seeking a talented and reliable Maintenance Supervisor for our beautiful multi-family apartment community in Kutztown, PA.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of building systems and infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, efficient, and attractive, comfortable environment for our residents. This role includes scheduling the maintenance work of the Maintenance Technicians, as well as performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance issues, and coordinating with external contractors as needed.

Light electrical, hands-on HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, must be available for on-call rotation. Physical demands include bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying more than 50 lbs., snow removal. Great people skills required to provide our residents with excellent customer service. Must possess strong leadership and organizational skills, be able to partner with the Community Manager, create a team environment, be reliable and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the maintenance team in daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Manage maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime across facilities.
Oversee facilities management, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and inventory levels.

Qualifications

Ability to speak and read English
Proven experience in maintenance management or a similar supervisory role within a multi-family housing setting.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with a focus on collaboration across departments.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in maintenance management, and the ability to manage various projects effectively.
