The Junior Case Manager will assist the attorneys with legal case management, client support, and billing. Targeted toward those interested in starting a career in the legal field while also making meaningful contributions for our clients.

About the Position: Junior Case Manager

Job: Junior Case Manager
Promotion Opportunity: There is a promotion opportunity to the Case Manager position or to a Client Support position.
Schedule: Monday to Friday

The Junior Case Manager will be responsible for the following:

Taking the lead on preparing client management and making sure that our clients' cases are handled with the utmost care from the beginning to the end of the case lifecycle
Communicate with attorneys with any questions and incorporate feedback into future work
Research important legal issues
Speak with clients, court clerks, and government employees on the phone and via email
Obtain case updates from the Court on client cases and draft messages to inform client when the update is obtained
Copiously document updates in respective Client files
Stay in touch with your supervisor throughout the day
Be flexible and able to assist the team with additional services as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, or currently enrolled seeking a Bachelor's degree.
Mastery of the English and legal language, both written and spoken
Preferred undergraduate majors: Communications, Business, Humanities, English, Social Work, Political Science, or similar writing-focused liberal arts degree
Desire to help people move forward from their pasts
1-5 years of experience in a fast-paced position which requires managing multiple tasks and providing polished writing products preferred.

Required Skills:

Strong computer and internet skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Affable disposition who enjoys team camaraderie.
Self-starter, ability to prioritize, stay on task, and work independently.
A problem solver who strives to reduce the workload on others by finishing tasks without leaving loose ends.
Goal-oriented and efficient, while remaining thorough and accurate.
Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines

Necessary Equipment:

Own functioning computer and daily access to stable high speed internet
Valid driver’s license
