Job Summary

Small Steps PPEC Medical Daycare is seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is looking for more than a traditional therapy position. We are building our in-house pediatric therapy program and are searching for a therapist who wants to help shape, develop, and grow our therapy services from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, and creating systems while providing exceptional therapy services to medically complex children. You will work closely with ownership, nursing staff, physicians, and families to establish a therapy program that delivers professional level clinical care while supporting the long-term growth of our organization. What You'll Do

In addition to providing high-quality pediatric therapy services, you will play an important role in helping develop our therapy department by:

Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans.
Providing evidence-based therapy services to medically complex pediatric patients.
Collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to coordinate care.
Assisting in the development of clinical workflows, therapy procedures, and documentation standards.
Helping establish efficient scheduling and therapy service processes.
Recommending therapy equipment, treatment materials, and clinical resources.
Supporting compliance with applicable state regulations and documentation requirements.
Participating in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
Helping identify opportunities to expand and strengthen our therapy services as the program grows.
Serving as a collaborative clinical resource for our interdisciplinary team.

Experienced Pediatric Physical Therapists (PT)
Pediatric Occupational Therapists (OT)
Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)
Solo practitioners
Professionals with leadership, program development, or startup experience
Applicants with experience building therapy programs, developing clinical workflows, or helping expand pediatric rehabilitation services are strongly encouraged to apply

Qualifications:

Current Florida licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Pediatric therapy experience required.
Experience treating children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, feeding disorders, orthopedic conditions, or medically complex diagnoses preferred.
Strong understanding of pediatric assessment and treatment planning.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:

Building or expanding a therapy department.
Program development or clinical leadership.
PPEC, outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, home health, school-based services, or pediatric rehabilitation.
Process improvement or quality initiatives.
Mentoring or supervising other therapists.
