About Increase Hearing:

Increase Hearing is a hearing care clinic in Altoona, PA. Our mission is simple: help people hear better. Our Patient Care Coordinator is the first person our patients see and the last person they talk to, and that role shapes their entire experience with us.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator who is organized, dependable, and genuinely ambitious. This is a front-line, in-person role in a small clinic where your work is visible and it matters. For the right person who wants to grow, there may be an opportunity over time to move toward a hearing instrument specialist apprenticeship.

Schedule and Pay:

- $22.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly by direct deposit

- Full-time, 40 hours per week

- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

- Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid breaks of 10 to 15 minutes, at approximately 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM

- This is a fixed, in-person schedule, not a flexible or remote one. Please apply only if these hours work for you long term.

What You Will Do:

- Greet and check in patients, and keep patient information accurate and up to date

- Manage the appointment calendar and daily patient flow in Sycle (sycle.net), our practice management system

- Answer phone calls, respond to patient questions, and handle follow-up outreach

- Assist patients with hearing aid orders, repairs, supplies, and follow-up care

- Verify insurance coverage and assist with claims processing

- Assist with billing and payment transactions

- Follow assigned daily workflows and checklists as written

- Use our approved AI tools to support scheduling, documentation, and patient follow-up

- Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements in all communication and recordkeeping

- Keep the clinic clean, organized, and welcoming

What We Are Looking For:

- Reliable attendance and punctuality. You are on site and ready to work at 8:00 AM.

- Someone who follows assigned workflows consistently, as written, without needing reminders

- Comfort with technology and a real interest in using AI tools to work smarter. If you already use AI in your day-to-day work, tell us how in your application.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent organization and the ability to juggle a busy phone, a full schedule, and walk-in patients

- Ambition. We want someone building a career, not just filling a seat.

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and quick to learn new software

- Previous experience in a medical, dental, or other healthcare front office is preferred but not required

What We Offer:

- $22.00 per hour

- 80 hours of paid time off per year: 40 hours after 3 months, another 40 hours after 6 months, and a full 80 hours on each employment anniversary

- 8 paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

Additional Details:

The first 90 days of employment are an introductory period. All positions at Increase Hearing are paid positions, including internships.
