Job Title: Plastic Technician

Reporting To: General Manager - Factory Operations

Location: Hollidaysburg, PA

Job Summary:

As a plastic injection mold setup technician with Just Play, you will use your mechanical and machinery experience, and plastic injection mold experience, to play a key role in the production of plastic parts and components for a wide array of products.

Principal Responsibilities:

Follow work instructions to set up, start up, and maintain injection molding equipment and machinery and install and remove molds.
Maintain optimum molding processes, perform material handling/storage, and other miscellaneous jobs.
Evaluate parts per molding and finishing guidelines.
Releases parts for molding via check-off documentation
Hook hoist to mold as well as lift mold from presses
Maintain Inventory
Maintain accurate setup records and documentation.
Identify and recommend replacement parts, tools, or accessories as needed.
Provide training to operators on equipment operation
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1-3 years of plastics molding experience highly preferred
Candidates with extensive mechanical or machinery backgrounds will be considered and trained.
Plastic injection molding experience
Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Manufacturing experience with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy objects and maneuver tooling weighing up to 10,000 lbs using hoists or cranes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EPR/MRP Software preferred
Experience with multimeters, air tools, hand tools, power tools, test equipment, gauges, scales, gantries, and hoists preferred
Knowledge of the following machinery and equipment preferred: Conair Silo, control systems, chiller, forklift, scales, building water hose, hopper loaders, and new molds preferred
