Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The Estimator will play a key role in pre-construction planning and work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and institutional projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Collaborate with project managers and leadership during pre-construction phases
Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
Maintain and update cost databases and historical project data
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
Assist in contract negotiations and bid submissions
Ensure estimates align with company standards, project scope, and client expectations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
3–7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating preferred
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
