Join a collaborative acute care hospital where you'll serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering directly with the CEO and clinical leaders to enhance patient care, improve pharmacy operations, and drive organizational success.
This Director of Pharmacy role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing department while maintaining an active clinical presence.
OVERVIEW:
- $170,000–$200,000 annual salary
- $10,000 Sign On Bonus
- Plus Relocation Bonus
- Monday–Friday schedule
- No weekend responsibility
- Reports directly to the CEO and is part of the senior team

You'll lead a dedicated pharmacy team consisting of:
- 4 Pharmacists
- 2 Pharmacy Technicians

As Director of Pharmacy, you'll lead a high-performing department while serving as a key member of the hospital's leadership team. You'll oversee pharmacy operations, mentor and develop staff, and help shape the future of pharmacy services and patient care.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and inspire the pharmacy team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Direct day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services and ensure safe, high-quality medication management.
- Oversee medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, sterile compounding, controlled substances, anticoagulation, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and pharmacy resources in collaboration with hospital leadership.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and educate staff on new therapies and best practices.
- Serve on key hospital committees, including Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Quality, Safety, and Medical Executive Committee.
- Recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of your team while building an engaged, patient-focused culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate of Pharmacy
- Hospital pharmacy leadership experience required.
- Pharmacy Supervisors, Operations or Clinical Managers, Pharmacy Managers, and experienced pharmacy leaders are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and clinical pharmacy practice.
- Current California Pharmacist license.
