What You’ll Do
As a Commissioning Specialist, you’ll be in the field and in the action, supporting projects from design through final turnover. In this role, you’ll:
- Execute the commissioning process and help our clients ensure their systems work as expected, reliably, and maintain their mission.
- Execute commissioning activities (L1–L5) across varied mechanical systems
- Develop and run test scripts (PFCs, FPTs, ISTs)
- Validate equipment performance, sequences of operation, and system integration
- Work directly with contractors, engineers, and owners
- Troubleshoot real-world system issues and drive solutions on-site
- Document findings in tools like CxAlloy and reporting platforms
- Support startup, testing, and turnover of mission-critical systems
You’ll gain exposure to mechanical systems, including:
Mechanical Systems
- Chillers, cooling towers, and pumping systems
- CRAC/CRAH units and air handling systems
- Building Automation Systems (BMS/BAS), Process Controls
- Heat exchangers and thermal storage
- Humidification (Dehumidification) Systems
- Boilers (HW/Steam systems)
- Data center cooling infrastructure
- Technical Cooling Distribution
- Specialty Lab Systems, Smoke Removal,
- Mission Critical Sequences, Battle Mode, Threat Response
Specialty Systems
- Facility Water Treatment / Purification
- Fire Alarm / Fire Protection / Mass Notification
- Domestic Water Heating and Distribution
- Fuel Oil Delivery and Monitoring
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for motivated, hands-on individuals who enjoy problem-solving and working in the field—whether you’re early in your career or bringing experience with you.
Background & Experience
- Degree in engineering, construction, or a technical field (or equivalent experience or licensure)
- or 3–5+ years in commissioning, construction, or mission-critical environments
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems (both are a plus)
- Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, or power systems is a plus
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Sequence Of Operations
- Mechanical flow diagrams (P&IDs)
- Control sequences
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
- Basic understanding of system operations, drawings, or controls
Professional Skills
- Strong communication in fast-paced, team environments
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, collaboration tools, reporting) (Use of the Google Doc equivalent is also a plus)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Commissioning certifications (NEBB, ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE) or willingness to obtain
- EIT or PE license
- Prior construction or field experience
- Electrician License (Journeyman, Master, etc)
- HVAC/Refrigeration License
- Prior Military Service within a technical MOS (All branches)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
