Bring your hospital finance expertise to the Texas Panhandle as the next Hospital Controller for a respected community hospital. The Hospital Controller will join a well-established community hospital that serves as a vital healthcare resource for the surrounding region. The Hospital Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with executive leadership on financial strategy and operational performance. The Hospital Controller will regularly collaborate with department leaders across the hospital to review budgets, variances, and financial planning needs. In addition, the Hospital Controller works closely with external auditors, and will support communication between finance and operational teams across the organization.

The Hospital Controller will lead financial operations within a collaborative accounting and finance department that supports the full hospital system. The Hospital Controller will work alongside revenue cycle, billing, and departmental managers to ensure accurate reporting and efficient financial processes. The environment is professional, steady, and highly collaborative, with strong cross-department engagement to support day-to-day operational success.

The Hospital Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The Hospital Controller will provide leadership in developing internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard organizational assets. This role also includes mentoring accounting staff, supporting operational budgeting discussions, and working closely with leadership on financial decision-making. In addition, the Hospital Controller will complete grant writing support as needed, helping strengthen funding opportunities and financial sustainability.

The Hospital Controller will be based in the Texas Panhandle, a region known for its wide-open landscapes and strong sense of community. The Hospital Controller will enjoy access to nearby outdoor recreation including fishing, boating, hiking, and camping, all within a short drive. The area offers a welcoming small-town feel with frequent community events and gatherings throughout the year.
