About Ground Hustle
Ground Hustle Inc. is a growing last mile logistics and delivery company providing transportation and delivery services on behalf of major retail partners, including Walmart.
We operate delivery routes across multiple markets in the Texas Panhandle and West Texas, with primary operations in Amarillo, Lubbock, and Midland, along with supporting satellite locations.
We are looking for a highly dependable, organized, and hands on Logistics Coordinator / Operations Manager to help oversee our Texas operations.
This is not a traditional desk based logistics position.
The person in this role will be directly involved in the day to day success of our delivery operations, including driver scheduling, recruiting, training, vehicle coordination, route execution, safety, performance management, payroll data preparation, and communication with drivers and company leadership.
There will also be times when the Logistics Coordinator / Operations Manager is expected to be in the field, visit operating locations, assist drivers, troubleshoot problems, and help ensure deliveries are successfully completed.

What You Will Be Responsible ForDaily Delivery Operations
- Coordinate daily delivery operations across Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, and supporting satellite locations.
- Ensure scheduled routes are properly staffed and drivers are prepared to begin work on time.
- Monitor daily route execution and delivery completion.
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding schedules, route changes, delivery issues, vehicle concerns, and other operational needs.
- Identify potential service failures before they become larger problems and take appropriate corrective action.
- Help ensure packages and routes are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Respond quickly when drivers call out, vehicles become unavailable, routes fall behind, or other unexpected issues occur.
- Coordinate backup drivers and contingency plans when necessary.
- Assist with deliveries or field operations when required to protect service commitments.
Driver Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Build and maintain weekly and daily driver schedules.
- Coordinate driver availability across multiple operating locations.
- Track attendance, tardiness, call offs, missed shifts, and schedule changes.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels based on anticipated delivery volume.
- Identify staffing gaps and proactively recruit or schedule additional drivers.
- Maintain an available pool of qualified backup drivers.
- Help balance driver workload and operational needs across markets.
Recruiting & Driver Onboarding
- Recruit qualified delivery drivers as operational needs grow.
- Review applicants and conduct initial candidate screening.
- Coordinate interviews and hiring activities with company leadership.
- Assist with background checks, motor vehicle record requirements, and other onboarding requirements when applicable.
- Coordinate new driver orientation and training.
- Ensure drivers understand Ground Hustle expectations regarding safety, professionalism, attendance, customer service, and delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate driver and personnel records.
Driver Training & Performance
- Train and coach drivers on company procedures and delivery expectations.
- Monitor individual driver performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Provide constructive coaching when performance falls below expectations.
- Document attendance, safety, performance, and disciplinary issues.
- Recognize high performing drivers and help develop reliable team members into future leadership positions.
- Work with company leadership on corrective actions when repeated performance problems occur.
Safety & Compliance
Safety is a critical part of this position.
The Logistics Coordinator / Operations Manager will help ensure drivers consistently follow company safety standards and applicable transportation requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Reinforcing safe driving expectations.
- Monitoring reported accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, and safety concerns.
- Ensuring drivers promptly report vehicle or operational safety issues.
- Documenting incidents and assisting company leadership with investigations when necessary.
- Helping maintain appropriate driver documentation and operational records.
- Coaching drivers regarding unsafe behavior or repeated safety concerns.
- Promoting a culture where completing deliveries never takes priority over operating safely.
Vehicle & Fleet Coordination
- Maintain visibility into company and operational vehicle availability.
- Track vehicle assignments and usage.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor vehicle condition and identify maintenance needs before they create operational interruptions.
- Coordinate repairs, replacement vehicles, rentals, towing, or other transportation solutions when necessary.
- Maintain records regarding maintenance, mileage, repairs, damage, and vehicle availability.
- Work with drivers to ensure vehicles are kept clean, safe, and ready for operation.
- Help minimize unnecessary downtime and vehicle related operating expenses.
Payroll & Administrative Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of driver schedules and completed work.
- Track information needed for driver compensation and payroll processing.
- Review payroll related data for accuracy before submitting information to company leadership or payroll administration.
- Maintain attendance and performance records.
- Track driver changes, new hires, terminations, schedule changes, and other personnel information.
- Maintain organized operational records and documentation.
- Assist management with reports regarding staffing, vehicle utilization, route performance, and operating results.
Walmart & Partner Coordination
- Help maintain strong working relationships with Walmart location personnel and other operational partners.
- Communicate professionally regarding route assignments, delivery volume, operational challenges, and service issues.
- Escalate significant operational problems to Ground Hustle leadership.
- Represent Ground Hustle professionally when interacting with customers, drivers, retail partners, vendors, and the public.
- Protect Ground Hustle's reputation by maintaining high standards for reliability, professionalism, communication, and service.
Multi Location Management
This position supports operations across Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, and satellite locations.
Candidates should understand that this is a hands on multi location operations position.
Travel between operating locations may periodically be required.
The successful candidate must be comfortable managing people remotely while also being willing to visit locations, meet drivers, inspect vehicles, solve operational problems, and participate directly in field operations when necessary.

Schedule & Availability
This is an operations management position supporting a delivery business where schedules are influenced by customer demand and daily delivery volume.
Candidates should have reasonable schedule flexibility and understand that transportation operations occasionally require early morning, evening, weekend, or unexpected problem solving.
The position is not expected to personally cover every operational issue. However, the Logistics Coordinator / Operations Manager is expected to take ownership of ensuring appropriate coverage and escalation procedures are in place.
