Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical office. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of medical office management, including familiarity with practice management systems such as Epic. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and optimizing the efficiency of our medical and dental clinic operations.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the medical office, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
Oversee scheduling, billing, and patient records management while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
Implement and maintain practice management systems to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
Monitor utilization management practices to ensure optimal resource allocation and patient care.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient services.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures to provide accurate administrative support.

Requirements

Proven experience in medical office management or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in practice management systems, particularly Epic, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with utilization management principles and practices.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the office environment.
