Full Job Description

Accounts Receivable Team Member

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Member to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day AR functions, maintaining accurate customer account records, following up on outstanding balances, and helping ensure timely cash collections while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable communicating with customers, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process customer payments accurately and timely
Monitor customer accounts for past due balances
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status
Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation
Research and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues
Reconcile AR accounts and assist with month-end closing activities
Communicate professionally with internal departments and external customers
Prepare reports related to aging, collections, and account activity
Assist with improving AR processes and maintaining department organization
Support additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

Previous Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable making collection calls and handling customer inquiries professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred
Team-oriented with a positive and dependable attitude
