Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with residents in their group homes ensuring their rights are respected and upheld.

Open shifts are: M-F 3P-11P and block weekend shifts that start at 11P Friday and end 11P Sunday.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Support individuals in developing life skills and promoting independence through personalized care plans.
Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of residents.
Advocate for resident rights and ensure a respectful environment that fosters dignity and autonomy.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement care strategies tailored to each individual's needs.
Engage residents in social activities that promote community integration and enhance social skills.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in resident conditions.

Requirements

Experience in caregiving is preferred.
Must have driver's license to drive company vehicle.
Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles is essential.
Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or senior care experience is a plus.
Ability to perform basic health assessments, including monitoring vital signs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet the needs of the residents.
