Full Job Description

Title: Adult and Children’s Crisis Stabilization Manager

Reports to: Director of Crisis Services

Overview:

The Crisis Stabilization Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that children, adolescents, and adults in crisis receive timely, comprehensive, and effective mental health services in a safe and supportive environment. They are responsible for the day-to-day overall operation of the assigned facility at Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy. Additionally, they will see to the total spectrum of needs of residents including but not limited to de-escalations, training, coping, assessments, and programming to enable individuals to achieve long term success.

Essential Responsibilities:

Supervises education, maintenance, transition, and development of the facility by direct individual initiative, delegation, and by ensuring that the staff members perform their duties in a responsible manner.
Complete all administrative paperwork and business-related functions of the facility through individual initiative and or delegation. Including:
Persons receiving services, families, and guardian relationship with Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy
Daily correspondence
Development and exploration of new and innovative ideas
Promote the cause and the resources of the organization for the benefit of the person receiving services.
Will assist with public relations for the organization.
Attend or participate in any meetings of which this organization is a member or see that the organization is represented at those meetings as needed as directed by the Director of Crisis Services.
Delegate to staff members specific duties and responsibilities not specifically assigned to them in their job description.
Responsible for and / or overseeing all hiring, training, supervision, and any disciplinary actions of site in conjunction with the Director of Crisis Services and Human Resources at Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy.
Follows all of Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy’s policies and procedures.
9. Arrange all in-house services / trainings / meetings. Will be responsible for partnering with Human Resources to ensure all staff at facility including self are completing all mandatory training prior to the required deadline.
10. Will work in partnership with the Director of Crisis Services on development of all new programs for Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy.
All other duties as assigned.
Assists individuals in crisis with the de-escalation process.
Provides therapeutic services to individuals specific to their needs and illness.
Assists Care Coordinators with assessments and treatment plans.
Aid individuals in meeting their social and emotional needs including assistance with contacting families and friends.
Provide behavior support to individuals having difficulty so that they can maintain appropriate social interaction with others, and refrain from infringing on their rights.
Accurately administer and document medications and medical treatment according to documented procedures.
Assist and support those served in the attainment and implementation of their treatment plan.
Always maintain safe and sanitary conditions within the facility.
Complete documentation during each shift according to Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy’s standards.
Always interact with those served in a manner that denotes respect for personal integrity.
Implement agency and home policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all laws, codes, regulations, and standards at all times in the performance of duties.
Assist those served with the basic activities of daily living.
Complete and maintain required training. This includes attending all mandatory meetings and in-services.
Provides oversight of Crisis Intervention Specialists at facility, ensuring that programs are operating within Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy’s procedures and standards.
Serve as an advocate for those served and facilitate Interdisciplinary Team in the development of the Individual Comprehensive Plan
Completes all required documentation in individual case files in a timely manner; review case files to see that staff are completing documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain professional relationships with department and county personnel, clients, families, and providers.
Follow all Inside Out Wellness and Advocacy’s policies and procedures.
Be available for assisting law enforcement when dispatch calls for mobile crisis response.
Complete billing accurately by the established deadlines.
Accountable for staff at facility to turn timecards in by established deadlines.
Required to expand on existing programs and services to accommodate the needs and requirements of children and adolescents.

Requirements:

Requires mobility and physical activity, having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds. Use of computers and telephones is required, which includes coordination of eye and hand, and fine manipulation by the hands (typing and writing).

Requires talking, hearing and seeing; Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken and written word. Ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Ability to observe client behavior and activities and complete paperwork.

Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions. Requires the ability to work and cooperate with individuals served, co-workers, employees, and the public at all levels in order to exchange ideas, information, instructions and opinions. Requires the ability to work under stress and in emotionally charged settings.

Bachelors’ Degree in a Human Services field preferred, or be certified as a Law Enforcement Officer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Peer Support Specialist, Registered Nurse,
· Or have a Bachelors’ Degree in a non-human service field, associate degree, or high school diploma (or equivalency) with 2-years’ experience with mental or behavioral health services.
· Valid Drivers’ License, ability to be insurable.

Notice Requirement – Management

Employees in management positions are expected to provide at least thirty (30) days’ written notice prior to their final day of work to ensure adequate time for transition of responsibilities.
