Full Job Description

Staff Accountant, Brook Park

Magnolia Management Group, Ltd. is a business management company, that provides administrative support to schools and behavioral health organizations, throughout Northeast Ohio.

We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our growing finance department. This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliation duties on a regular basis for the multiple companies that Magnolia manages.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and reports, including the balance sheet and profit and loss statement
Ensure program revenue and expenses are accurately recorded in the general ledger
Assist with the budgeting process and financial planning
Assist with financial analysis and forecasting
Code and submit invoices for accounts payable
Collect W-9 forms from vendors and negotiate payment terms
Generate A/R Aging Report and follow up on past due accounts receivable
Audit credit card statements and match receipts
Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approves payment.
Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers.
Extracts general ledger information.
Compiles cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
Reconciles bank statements.
Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
Sort and file documents such as invoices, checks, substantiating business transactions
Perform general office duties, such as the production of reports and filing of financial information

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, or related field
Working experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
Previous accounting experience
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft programs Word and Excel
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize, prioritize work and to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
