Full Job Description

Part-Time Residential Project Manager / Estimator

Pay: Starting at $35/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Approximately 20–30 hours per week with flexibility as workload increases.

Jake's Custom Homes is a growing residential remodeling and custom home company serving Northeast Ohio. We're looking for an experienced construction professional who enjoys estimating projects, managing jobs, solving problems, and working directly with homeowners.

As our company grows, you'll become one of the key people helping transform signed contracts into successful projects.

This position will support both Jake's Custom Homes and our growing specialty division, Cleveland Custom Saunas, with additional expansion planned throughout Ohio.

Responsibilities

- Meet homeowners during project development

- Visit job sites to measure and verify existing conditions

- Prepare detailed residential remodeling estimates

- Estimate and manage custom sauna projects

- Solicit subcontractor pricing

- Order materials and coordinate deliveries

- Build and maintain project schedules

- Coordinate subcontractors and inspections

- Manage active construction projects from start to finish

- Keep homeowners informed throughout construction

- Maintain project budgets and documentation

- Conduct final walkthroughs and closeout

Projects Include

- Kitchens

- Bathrooms

- Basement finishes

- Whole-home remodels

- Additions

- Custom homes

- Indoor and outdoor custom saunas

Experience estimating and managing custom sauna projects is a plus but not required. We expect to bid on approximately 10 custom sauna projects each month, and this role will become instrumental in helping grow that division.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of residential construction experience preferred

- Residential estimating experience

- Strong project management skills

- Ability to read construction drawings

- Excellent communication and organization

- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

- Experience with Buildertrend, JobTread, CoConstruct, or similar software is a plus

- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Engineering, construction management, or trade backgrounds are all welcome.

Compensation

- Starting at $35/hour, based on experience

- Flexible part-time schedule
