Full Job Description

DiaCom Corporation, founded in 1983, is a world-wide industry leader in producing high-performance diaphragms for automotive, aerospace, medical, food processing, and other critical industries. We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker/Machinist to join our team. In this role, you’ll bring your craftsmanship and problem-solving skills to support production by building, repairing, and improving the tooling that keeps our operation running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Produce metal parts w/ tolerances of +/- .001
Perform tight tolerance machining using toolroom equipment such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
Collaborate with Engineering to design and develop tooling improvements that reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance manufacturability.
Support equipment installations and upgrades when needed.
Program CNC machine centers

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience with toolmaking and machining, including safe operation of lathes, mills, and grinders.
Ability to read blueprints, understand tolerances, and apply strong shop math skills.
Knowledge of finishing processes such as heat treating and tempering and how they affect tooling.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills.
A combination of education and experience such as:
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program + 1 year of experience, OR
2-year degree/certificate in tooling/machining + 1–3 years of experience, OR
4–6 years of increasing experience in a toolroom environment.
