Full Job Description

A fast-growing cabinet dealer located in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented accounting/administrative assistant to join our team. This is a full-time salaried position that offers competitive compensation and benefits including employee health coverage, paid time off, and retirement matching.

Responsibilities:

Answer and direct limited phone calls, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Create, review and maintain accurate invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks, such as data entry, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling financial records.
Maintain and update files, records, and documents, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
Provide general administrative support, including email correspondence, filing, faxing, and photocopying.
Assist in the preparation of reports and other business documents.
Collaborate with team members to facilitate effective communication and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

Proficient using QuickBooks and basic accounting principles (preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Proactive problem-solving skills, displaying initiative and resourcefulness.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proofreading and editing skills for reviewing accuracy of documents.
