CNC Machinist / Fabricator – Relocation Assistance
We are hiring a skilled CNC Machinist/Fabricator with hands-on experience operating a Fadal Vertical Milling Center, strong TIG welding capabilities, and a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). The ideal candidate will be responsible for machining precision components, fabricating assemblies, and ensuring all parts meet engineering specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
· Set up, program, and operate Fadal Vertical Milling Centers to machine precision components.
· Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts.
· Perform TIG welding on various metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
· Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
· Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and part quality.
· Fabricate components using sheet metal tools, band saws, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
· Maintain equipment, tooling, and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Job Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience operating CNC mills, specifically Fadal vertical machining centers.
· Proficiency in TIG welding for fabrication and repair work.
· Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
· Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
· Experience with CNC programming (G-code or conversational programming preferred).
· Familiarity with general fabrication equipment and shop safety practices.
· Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Gibbs Cam, Fusion 360).
· Experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace or automotive components.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
