Nellson is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Clerk to join our Powder Division in Anaheim, California.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Clerk is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and controlling quality documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role supports Quality Assurance operations by ensuring that batch records, production documentation, and controlled documents are accurate, complete, and properly maintained. The Quality Assurance Clerk plays a key role in supporting product quality, regulatory compliance, and the timely release of products while helping ensure the consistent production of safe, high-quality products.
Essential Functions

Scan, index, and file blending batch records and packaging job order documentation in the shared database

Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for production records

Purchase, maintain, and distribute office and laboratory supplies as needed

Create purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system

Support Packaging Job Order (PJO) preparation and documentation for Finished Goods (FG) release, as needed

Assist with creating Certificates of Analysis (COA) covers and Finished Goods final release checklists, as needed

Support the release of Finished Goods in JDE and provide COAs to customers, as needed

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and attendance requirements

Follow all safety regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

Prior manufacturing experience preferred

Minimum of one (1) year of clerical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
-
Ability to prepare and maintain simple written correspondence and documentation
-
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Legible handwriting required

Basic math skills, including the ability to perform calculations with or without a calculator

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, and climbing on a repetitive basis as needed

Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to perform light physical work, including walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed. The role also requires a high level of attention to detail and visual concentration to ensure the accuracy of data entered into computer systems and reviewed in electronic and paper records. Candidates must possess the ability to read information on computer screens and printed documents, communicate effectively in person and by telephone, and hear and understand verbal instructions. Additionally, sufficient hand and finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and other standard office equipment, while maintaining productivity and accuracy in both office and manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
The work environment includes office, warehouse, and manufacturing areas with exposure to inventory storage, forklift traffic, and operational activity. The employee must comply with all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
