Job Overview
The Bradbury Bistro is seeking an experienced Bar Lead / Craft Cocktail Mixologist to lead and elevate our cocktail program.
This is not a basic bartending position. We are looking for someone who understands the craft of a thoughtful, elevated bar program and takes pride in every detail, from developing an exceptional cocktail to ensuring the bar is beautifully stocked, organized, prepped, and ready for service.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute creative, balanced seasonal cocktails Create house-made syrups, infusions, shrubs, garnishes, and other cocktail components Maintain consistent recipes, presentation, glassware, and standards Create clear recipes and procedures so every bartender can execute drinks consistently Train and develop bar staff to a high level of service and cocktail knowledge Lead bar prep and ensure the team is fully prepared before every service Manage liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and bar supply inventory Monitor inventory levels, identify ordering needs, and minimize waste Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and well-run bar Work collaboratively with ownership, culinary leadership, and our beverage team on seasonal menus, special events, and pairings Set the tone for professionalism, hospitality, accountability, and excellence behind the bar
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is someone who genuinely loves the craft.
You know the classics, but you also know how to create something original. You understand flavor, balance, spirits, proper technique, presentation, and hospitality. You can make a syrup from scratch, develop an infusion, build a seasonal cocktail menu, teach someone else exactly how to make it, and then create the systems that ensure it is made correctly every time.
Just as importantly, you are a leader.
You notice when something needs to be done and take ownership of it. You understand that a great beverage program requires creativity AND organization. Inventory matters. Prep matters. Training matters. Cleanliness matters. Consistency matters.
Qualifications
- Strong craft cocktail / mixology experience Experience developing original cocktails and beverage menus Knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, techniques, and flavor profiles Experience making house syrups, infusions, garnishes, and cocktail components Leadership or bar management experience strongly preferred Strong organizational and inventory-management skills Ability to train and hold a team to established standards Excellent hospitality and guest-service skills Dependable, professional, collaborative, and detail-oriented
Wine knowledge is a plus.
We are looking for someone who wants more than a shift behind the bar. This is an opportunity for a talented beverage professional to take ownership of a cocktail program, help shape its identity, and lead it with a high standard of excellence.
If you are passionate about craft cocktails, hospitality, creativity, and building something exceptional, we’d love to meet you.
