Full Job Description

Looking to take the next step in your accounting career with a growing and collaborative organization? We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in Carmel, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close process, analyzing financial results, and partnering with leadership to drive business success. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close activities
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
Analyze financial statements and investigate variances
Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts
Assist with annual audits and provide supporting documentation
Monitor accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
Experience with ERP systems is a plus

Pay Details: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour
