Job Title: CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
Schedule: M-Th 6:00am – 4:30pm, hours may vary at times including overtime
Summary:
Production of metal parts, by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records as well as maintaining equipment and supplies. The operator will also assist in secondary downstream processes including brake press operation and welding. At all times carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the post in compliance with Halton Policies and Procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties may include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary to support quality goals and objectives.

Oversees machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load

Loads correct material (gauge and finish) per order specifications

Download and set the laser cutting machine to run the scheduled cutting programs

Program, setup and operate press brake

Regularly inspects machines for mechanical and safety issues

Perform prescribed maintenance as required

Validates process quality to ensure product is acceptable to move onto the next part of the production process

Responsible for meeting production targets

Recording production and quality data manually or in ERP system.

Adhere to all company and regulatory safety policies.
Qualifications
-
Ability to safely and successfully perform any/all essential job functions.

Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance.

Compliance with all personnel policies and practices.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating laser cutting equipment and press brakes

Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints
-
Previous Forklift experience
-
Must be a proactive problem solver
