The Maintenance Manager will supervise the maintenance team at all three locations and will work with support staff to keep plant machinery and facility systems running smoothly. Core duties include scheduling preventative maintenance, managing emergency repairs, tracking parts inventory, ensuring strict OSHA safety compliance, and leveraging data systems to minimize production downtime. The Maintenance Manager will take a lead role in managing maintenance projects, working with engineering staff, other team members, contractors or others as needed. In addition to day-to-day management, the Manager will provide high-level strategy, department budgets and long-term facility planning

Job Responsibilities:
· Strategic Planning/Management:
- Develop long term maintenance programs, capital improvement plans and facility upgrade strategies. Execute capital projects to completion, including obtaining bids, creating and submitting capital requests, and managing contractors/vendors throughout the process.
- Manage long-term asset reliability.
- Manage the department budget, approve large purchases and negotiate vendor or contractor contracts.
- Work with executive leadership and other department heads to align maintenance goals with the broader company.
- Make high level decisions within functional area.
- Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies, which may improve operations and develop recommendations accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local environment, health, safety and HR regulations/procedures along with ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a safe and healthful manner.
· Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
- Manage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to achieve efficient production by eliminating equipment breakdowns, unplanned downtime, speed losses and quality defects. Create and manage schedules to service equipment routinely, ensuring critical machinery stays operational and preventing unexpected breakdowns.
· Team Leadership & Scheduling
- Lead and direct activities and scheduling of maintenance staff.
- Build a positive team culture within the maintenance staff. Work to ensure a good working relationship and positive communication between the maintenance staff and other teams, i.e. engineering, operations.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies and perform Supervisory duties (timecard approval, attendance record keeping, disciplinary action, etc)
· Work Order Management
- Responsible for management of work order system
- Ensure system is understood and used by team
· Inventory and Budget Control
- Work with Purchasing and suppliers to order supplies, parts, and equipment, while maintaining cost effectiveness and vendor relationships.
- Manage supply room materials, tracking and stocking to support all company manufacturing operations.
- Maintain budget limits by following assigned processes for purchases.
· Safety Compliance
- Enforce environmental and occupational health standards. Conduct regular safety audits as required for machinery and to ensure the team strictly adheres to OSHA and safety regulations. Provide training or ensure proper training is received.
· Reliability
- Regular on-site attendance is required. Must have driver’s license or transportation to travel between local plants as needed, with no notice as necessary.
·Provide guidance and make logical decisions by including the appropriate people and information in the decision-making process.
· Maintenance Activities
- Apply troubleshooting skills to solve problems efficiently.
- Lead trammer rebuilds and incinerator inspections.
- Record and analyze data and trends. Recommend improvements or solutions to issues.
- Provide hands-on support to the maintenance team, actively working to help resolve maintenance issues. Help perform required repairs, both planned or unscheduled, to return machines back to production as quickly as possible.
- Perform tasks such as welding, cutting, grinding, fabrication, carpentry, painting and plumbing when needed to support operations.
Skills Required:
· Technical and hard skills
- Solid mechanical and electrical skills. Welding, cutting, grinding, fabrication, general carpentry, painting and plumbing skills. Excellent working knowledge of basic tools, measurements, mathematical skills.
- Hands-on understanding of facility infrastructure, HVAC systems, plumbing and industrial machinery.
- Ability to develop, implement and track scheduled PM routines to prevent equipment failure and extend asset life.
- Ability to use mechanical maintenance software to track work orders, manage inventory and generate reports.

Knowledge/Education & Experience:
- Require High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance positions or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance positions.
- Require 2 years of experience leading others, organizing work, delegating tasks.
- Require solid technical understanding and knowledge of maintenance solutions (contractor support, supply options, etc)
- Prefer experience in woven, non-woven and assembled textiles with understanding of fiber conversions and industrial fabrics. Experience with similar textile machinery and processes is ideal.
- Require experience with PLC’s or other levels of control systems.
- Require background with continuous improvement/process methods.
- Require proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar programs (email, WORD ,and EXCEL in particular).
- Prefer experience with maintenance management systems.
