Full Job Description

Outside Sales Representative - LBM

Moynihan North Reading Lumber Co. is seeking an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage an established customer base while developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the building materials industry and understands the needs of professional contractors and builders.

This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who is passionate about helping customers succeed, takes ownership of their territory, and consistently drives business growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and industry professionals.
Manage an assigned book of business while actively pursuing new customer opportunities.
Prepare accurate blueprint takeoffs and material estimates.
Provide expertise in millwork, windows, doors, and other building products.
Demonstrate knowledge of Andersen Windows and related product lines.
Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale.
Manage projects from quote through delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Stay organized, accountable, and responsive while managing multiple customer accounts.
Collaborate with inside sales and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of outside sales experience in the building materials, lumber, millwork, or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of millwork products and Andersen Windows.
Experience reading blueprints and performing takeoffs.
Proven ability to build long-term relationships with contractors and construction professionals.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Results-driven with a track record of growing sales and managing customer accounts.
