Position Summary:
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of MidCentral Energy's Quality Management System in alignment with the organization's Management System Manual and applicable Management System Procedures. This role serves as the company's Management Representative for the QMS, supporting top management in ensuring conformance to applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. The Quality Coordinator works cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE, Sales, and field personnel to drive a culture of quality, monitor performance against quality objectives, and ensure that products and services are delivered in conformance with documented requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System; coordinate QMS communication across departments and report on QMS performance to the Management Team.
- Implement and maintain QMS documentation, including the Management System Manual, Management System Procedures, forms, and related controlled documents; ensure document control, revision, distribution, and retention practices are followed.
- Maintain the Control of Records process; ensure that departments identify, collect, and retain records required by the QMS and applicable codes and standards.
- Establish, maintain, and report on Quality Objectives and Key Performance Indicators; track performance against objectives and escalate gaps to the Management Team.
- Coordinate the codes and standards gap analysis process; track applicable external documents and partner with Engineering on technical reviews of new or revised standards.
- Coordinate the statutory and regulatory requirements gap analysis; ensure applicable legal and regulatory requirements are incorporated into the QMS and that responsible personnel monitor and act on changes.
- Plan, schedule, and lead Internal Audits of the QMS; document findings, drive corrective and preventive actions to closure, and verify effectiveness.
- Administer the Corrective Action, Opportunities for Improvement, and Nonconforming Product processes; facilitate root cause analysis and verify implementation and effectiveness of actions taken.
- Coordinate Management Review meetings; gather, prepare, and present QMS performance data including KPIs, audit results, customer feedback, nonconformities, and improvement actions.
- Support product realization activities — including service design verification, quality planning, supplier quality plans, validation of processes, externally owned property handling, and product release — to ensure planned activities are completed before release to the customer.
- Administer the inspection, test, monitoring, verification, and measurement program; ensure personnel performing inspection and test activities are qualified and/or certified as applicable, and maintain associated training and qualification records.
- Administer the Testing, Measuring, Monitoring, and Detection Equipment program; ensure conformity, calibration, and traceability of equipment used to demonstrate product conformance, including HSE detection equipment when applied to product conformance activities, and coordinate with the Calibration Technician on calibration status, intervals, and records.
- Support Sales on contract review activities to ensure customer requirements are clearly captured and that the organization can meet quality-related commitments.
- Gather customer focus and satisfaction data and report on trends as part of QMS performance reporting.
- Interface with customers, third-party auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory representatives during external audits, surveillance visits, and product inspections.
- Travel to field locations, shop facilities, and supplier sites as needed to perform audits, inspections, and quality support activities.
