Location: Andrews Worksite Facility
Summary
Provide customers service in all aspects of customer relations regarding waste profiling, shipment authorization, waste receipt, reporting, and marketing. Ensures waste profile folders are complete and shipment requests are processed in a timely manner; assists with the administrative aspect of the shipment request approvals, assists with the collection and organization of required information for the manifest folders; assist with the completion of reports to customers on the status of waste streams in process; assists customers with ELITE training; responsible for maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all customers and transporters of waste. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may receive occupational exposures to ionizing radiation that are As Low As is Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and within regulatory limits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works directly with customers and assists in activities relating to the profiling and transportation of radioactive/mixed waste and hazardous/non-hazardous waste to the WCS Facility
- Enters all required profile and pricing information into the electronic waste tracking system, helps coordinate the scheduling of incoming shipments with customers and operations and processes shipment request authorizations.
- Works with customers to help resolve manifest discrepancies and issues with non-conforming waste, and assists in the completion of the proper site documentation to ensure compliance with procedures;
- Assists in planning activities relating to the marketing and advertising of WCS and its service offerings;
- Works with operations, safety and other internal organization to ensure effective communication of waste shipping schedules, receipts, and implementation of requisite waste management services;
- Works with internal organizations to ensure compliance with permits and licenses.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Environmental Science or a related area and two years of related experience; or four years of related experience working in a technical area for a hazardous waste treatment facility i.e., Laboratory, Customer Service, Treatment, Environmental Services, etc.; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write professional correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
