Job Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Part-Time Caregiver in Brazoria, TX, dedicated to providing exceptional day-time support to seniors and individuals with disabilities. This lively role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. Position: 13 hours weekly at $15/hr

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques
Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety
Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with team members about resident needs
Follow safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR, and emergency response plans to ensure a secure environment
Assist with meal preparation and light cleaning duties to uphold a clean, healthy living space
Support residents with cognitive disabilities or dementia by implementing behavior management strategies and memory care techniques

Experience

Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices
Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and safe patient lifting practices
Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards within home & community care settings
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
Valid certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in Hoyer lifts or Hoyer lift operation is a plus
Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards for residents and self
