Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager here at GIOVANNIS ITALIAN KITCHEN to lead our restaurant operations with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring a seamless guest experience while driving operational excellence. Your leadership will inspire teams, uphold food safety standards, and foster a vibrant hospitality environment that delights customers and promotes business growth. Duties

Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow.
Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team.
Oversee inventory control, food management, and supply ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and cash handling with accuracy.
Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment.
Conduct shift management, including scheduling staff coverage, overseeing kitchen operations, and managing customer interactions.
Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction strategies.
Foster a positive team culture through effective communication, training & development initiatives, and leadership by example.
Maintain high standards of hospitality management by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with a strong background in food industry operations.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, staff training, and interviewing skills.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, food handling safety, and kitchen management.
Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential.
Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
Excellent managerial communication skills combined with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals.
Experience in managing hospitality teams within hotel or catering settings is advantageous.
Ability to perform basic math accurately for order processing and financial calculations; multitasking under pressure is vital.
