Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager / Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. This dynamic role combines creative menu planning, food preparation, and team leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for culinary excellence, strong management skills, and extensive experience in food service environments, including fine dining, catering, and banquet settings. As a key leader in our hospitality team, you will ensure food safety standards are maintained, inventory is controlled efficiently, and service runs seamlessly from prep to plate. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary offerings while fostering a positive, motivated kitchen atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and support personnel, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation for all service types such as fine dining, catering, and banquets.
Develop innovative menus that align with brand standards and customer preferences while managing food costs through effective inventory control and procurement.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain rigorous sanitation practices across the kitchen environment.
Manage shift scheduling, training programs, and performance evaluations to cultivate a skilled and motivated team.
Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure menu inclusivity.
Oversee inventory management processes to minimize waste, control costs, and maintain optimal stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Implement quality control measures for food handling, cooking techniques, and presentation standards to uphold exceptional guest experiences.
Support catering operations by overseeing large-scale food production and ensuring timely delivery for events.
Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages continuous improvement in culinary skills and customer service.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting with a focus on team management and leadership.
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, menu planning, and food service management.
Prior experience working in fine dining establishments or banquet/catering environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety regulations (such as ServSafe or equivalent) and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control effectively while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Experience with shift management, inventory management systems, and kitchen operations is essential.
Familiarity with bartending or beverage service is a plus but not required; however, understanding hospitality dynamics is important for success in this role.
