JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC Machine Operator / Setup Tech

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CNC machine operator/Setup tech position is accountable for consistent and reliable operation production cell CNC machines to achieve production targets and quality with limited guidance.

Troubleshoot and resolve process and machine issues in a timely fashion, safely, professionally and efficiently. Able to support and participate on continuous improvement functions on the plant equipment and demonstrate a spirit of teamwork and cooperation to achieve set goal.

Setup and run CNC machine production on a daily basis and achieve production quantity and quality per set target
Must be able to do tool setup, tool change, minor adjustment in program and tool offset to produce quality parts
Perform inspection of products using variable, attribute gauges and instruments as per frequency in Work Instructions
Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machinery
Tagging Material after quality approval.
Remove metal shavings/chips from equipment in a safe manner
Must be able to read and understand blue print, CMM report and make required adjustment in the machines
Load / unload parts into the machine fixture appropriately and safely
Perform necessary cleaning of machines and work area
Monitor machines, process, product quality and escalate issues to the supervisor promptly
Knowledge to load fixtures work holding, cutting tool holdings into the machine
Perform other duties as required by direct supervisor
Assist in maintenance of machinery, equipment
Ensures departmental compliance with company policies, including safety regulations
Ensure good house keeping (5S requirements) at all times.
To take appropriate corrective action for any safety or process issues

QUALIFICATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3~5 years’ experience in operating 4axis 5 axis CNC machines
Good math skills and computer knowledge
Understand the major components of CNC machines and their function
Ability to stand all shift time to run the machine load unload part
Follow safety regulations including MIOSHA and Government.
Exposure to production environment
Must be able to work flexible hours

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment when in a production area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
