Psychologist (Behavioral Health Program Development & Accreditation Track)Position Overview
Westlake Consultation Center is currently in the early development and accreditation preparation phase of a structured outpatient behavioral health program.
We are seeking a Founding Clinical Partner (Psychologist) to join us in a long-term collaborative relationship supporting clinical oversight, psychological services development, and accreditation readiness as we work toward full behavioral health facility accreditation, including CARF, Joint Commission, and payer enrollment readiness such as BCBSM/BCN OPC-level participation.
This is a foundational leadership opportunity, not a traditional employee role. The selected psychologist will help shape the clinical, operational, and documentation infrastructure of a growing behavioral health organization.
Organizational Overview
Westlake Consultation Center is a growing behavioral health organization focused on expanding access to mental health and substance use treatment services. Our current clinical team includes:
- 6 Nurse Practitioners
- 14 Therapists (LLMSW, LLPC, LPC, LMSW)
We are actively building the clinical infrastructure, staffing model, and compliance systems required for accreditation and future payer enrollment.
Important Organizational Status
- Westlake Consultation Center is not currently an accredited OPC or behavioral health facility
- We are actively developing toward full accreditation and payer readiness
- This role is designed to support the build-out and transformation phase
- Clinical systems, workflows, and staffing models will evolve as accreditation is achieved
Founding Clinical Partner Model (Partnership Opportunity)
We are seeking a long-term clinical partnership with one of the following:
- A fully licensed Psychologist (LP)
OR
- A Master’s-level Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP)
OR
- A PhD-level LLP working under a supervisory or consulting licensed psychologist
OR
- A Licensed Psychologist (LP) in a contractual consulting or supervisory relationship
This role is designed as a clinical partnership structure, with involvement in both direct consultation and organizational development.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Oversight & Consultation
- Provide psychological consultation to therapists, nurse practitioners, and clinical teams
- Support diagnostic clarification and treatment planning frameworks
- Oversee or contribute to psychological assessment services (based on licensure and scope)
- Participate in multidisciplinary case review and clinical consultation
Accreditation & Program Development (Primary Focus)
- Provide clinical leadership aligned with CARF, Joint Commission, and payer facility standards
- Assist in development of psychological service lines and assessment structures
- Support creation of policies, procedures, and clinical workflows
- Advise leadership on staffing and supervision models for accreditation readiness
- Participate in readiness planning for audits, surveys, and accreditation review
Compliance & Quality Systems
- Support quality assurance and utilization review systems
- Ensure documentation standards meet accreditation and payer expectations
- Provide input on clinical risk management and patient safety systems
- Assist in development of outcomes tracking and assessment frameworks
Facility Involvement Expectations (OPC Readiness)
This role includes meaningful involvement in facility operations, including:
- Regularly scheduled clinical and consultative hours
- Availability for consultation and clinical oversight support
- Participation in case review and program development activities
- Contribution to structural requirements for OPC-level readiness
QualificationsRequired
- Active Michigan licensure as Psychologist or LLP (or eligibility)
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings
- Strong diagnostic, assessment, and clinical formulation skills
- Ability to function in a consultative and program development capacity
Preferred
- Experience with CARF, Joint Commission, or accreditation processes
- Background in psychological or neuropsychological assessment
- Experience in outpatient program development (IOP, PHP, SUD, integrated care)
- Prior involvement in startup, expansion, or restructuring of behavioral health programs
- Familiarity with BCBSM, BCN, Medicaid, or commercial payer systems
Compensation Structure
Flexible partnership arrangements available:
- Independent Contractor (hourly or per-session)
- Clinical Consulting Agreement
- Part-Time or Full-Time Founding Partner Role

- Depth of accreditation and program development involvement
