Fitness Coach (Part-Time, Onsite – Morning/Midday Hours)

Location: Onsite at 4710 South State Rd., Ann Arbor, MI
Schedule: Morning/Midday, 5:30 AM - 1pm PM
Compensation: $17.50–$22.50/hour (based on experience)

We provide exercise, nutrition, and behavior support to help people build sustainable, long-term health habits. While we are evolving toward a more integrated healthcare model, this role is focused on delivering high-quality coaching and a great member experience on the fitness floor.

Role Overview

We are hiring a part-time Fitness Coach to support morning/midday operations.

In this role, you will:

Coach members through group and one-on-one workouts
Provide guidance, motivation, and accountability
Help maintain a positive, organized training environment

This is a hands-on coaching role focused on execution and experience, not program design or clinical assessment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coaching & Member Support

Guide members through exercise programs in group and one-on-one settings
Ensure proper exercise technique and safety
Provide encouragement, accountability, and energy during sessions
Build positive relationships with members

2. Session Experience

Start and end sessions on time
Help create an organized, clean, and professional training environment
Support a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere

3. Communication

Communicate relevant member updates to the broader team as needed
Flag any concerns (e.g., discomfort, inconsistency, disengagement)

Performance Expectations

Members feel supported, welcomed, and motivated
Sessions run smoothly and on schedule
Coaching is attentive, safe, and encouraging
Strong reliability and consistency in attendance

Qualifications

Interest in fitness, health, or coaching (required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work morning/midday hours (5:30 AM - 1:00 PM)

Preferred (not required):

Pursuing or completed degree in Exercise Science or related field
Fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM)
Prior coaching or customer service experience
