Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to help ensure our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality products and processes across a global supply chain. This role focuses on driving supplier performance, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
The ideal candidate has experience working in precision manufacturing environments, applying quality methodologies, analyzing performance data, and implementing corrective actions. Success in this role comes from building strong supplier relationships, reducing defects, and improving process consistency to ensure reliable product performance.
Responsibilities
- Support supplier quality and continuous improvement initiatives across a global supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance through quality metrics, scorecards, and trend analysis.
- Prepare supplier quality data and reports for business reviews and management updates.
- Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, and risk evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain supplier control plans, process documentation, and performance indicators.
- Support new product introductions through First Article Inspection (FAI), product conformance reviews, and process validation activities.
- Partner with suppliers to investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of supplier quality issues.
- Drive containment, corrective action, and verification activities to minimize quality escapes and production disruptions.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with suppliers to drive measurable quality and process improvements.
- Understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including RCCA, CAPA, 8D, SPC, and process capability analysis.
- Knowledge of measurement systems, inspection methods, and quality control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting complex assemblies, precision components, optics, semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, or other high-technology manufacturing environments.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and process validation activities.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Experience using statistical analysis and quality reporting tools.

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
Base Pay Range: $86,700.00 - $147,400.00 Annually
