We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Data Coordinator Support Level 2 professional to support engineering and product development activities within a fast-paced automotive environment. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between engineering, purchasing, project planning, and operational teams, ensuring critical product data, bill of material (BOM) information, design releases, and engineering documentation are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with complex data, improving processes, collaborating across multiple functions, and driving issues to resolution. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in engineering data management, product development processes, and enterprise systems while making a direct impact on vehicle development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track engineering data activities, including Bill of Material (BOM) updates, design transfers, 3D CAD releases, and production drawing releases.
- Monitor project milestones and provide accurate status reporting to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with Purchasing, Product Development, Project Planning, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure timely execution of critical deliverables.
- Support engineers in the effective use of proprietary engineering data and parts management systems.
- Investigate process and data-related issues using structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current workflows and recommending process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, job aids, and training materials to support standardization and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver system and process training to end users while providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Develop and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports using written, visual, and verbal communication methods.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established engineering and business processes.
- Support additional program and operational activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading projects, coordinating cross-functional activities, or supporting engineering and technical programs.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate issues, and drive solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build productive relationships across diverse teams.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and business processes.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

- Exposure to 3D CAD tools and engineering documentation workflows.
- Experience creating process documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
