Telecare Services Inc. - DDA House Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Telecare Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable DDA House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a DDA Group Home supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The House Manager will work with and supervise Certified Medication Technicians to ensure the home operates safely and in compliance with Maryland DDA regulations and Telecare policies, while providing staff the guidance and resources needed to deliver high-quality, person-centered services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: .

Residential Operations

Oversee daily operations, organization, cleanliness, and safety of the home; maintain task lists, cleaning schedules, and staff
assignments.
Coordinate grocery shopping and supplies; identify and resolve operational concerns, assigning responsibility and confirming
completion.
Communicate updates, incidents, and staffing needs to agency administration; keep the home ready for licensing visits and QA reviews.

Staff Leadership and Supervision

Supervise, coach, and schedule Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adequate coverage and clear expectations.
Monitor attendance, documentation, and quality of care; recognize strong performance and address concerns professionally.
Make recommendations on coaching, retraining, discipline, and hiring; lead regular staff meetings and provide direct coverage when needed.

Individual Support and Community Participation

Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of every individual; ensure staff understand and implement each person's
plans.
Promote independence, personal choice, and community inclusion; ensure attendance at medical and personal appointments.
Support community outings and skill-building activities; liaise with families, guardians, CCSs, and healthcare/behavior-support professionals

Medication Management

Oversee medication practices per CMT/DDA requirements; ensure accurate administration, storage, and documentation.
Review Medication Administration Records; monitor refills, physician orders, missed doses, and errors; coordinate with the agency nurse.

Documentation and Compliance

Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with DDA and licensing requirements; review and follow up on
staff records.
Report incidents per required procedures; participate in investigations and corrective-action planning; maintain
confidentiality.

Other

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Current Certified Medication Technician, First Aid/CPR, DDA training, and MANDT certification.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to supervise staff and manage operations.
Sound judgment under pressure, accurate record keeping, and ability to work independently and collaboratively with families, CCSs, nurses, and behavior professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior supervisory/management experience, ideally in a DDA setting.
Experience with staff scheduling, person-centered planning, medication documentation, and incident reporting.
Experience training/coaching DSPs and preparing for licensing reviews and audits.

Compensation and Schedule
$55,000 per year. Schedule must allow sufficient availability to supervise staff across shifts, with some flexibility for meetings, training, and occasional evenings/weekends. Additional compensation may be available for approved direct-support coverage shifts.
