Full Job Description

Job Overview

Simply Prima is hiring an experienced personal chef to provide in-home meal preparation for clients throughout Anne Arundel, Howard, and Montgomery County. You'll cook multiple meals in clients' kitchens, package everything for easy reheating throughout the week, and represent Simply Prima with warmth, professionalism, and confidence working independently in someone else's home.

Pay: $35/hour (cook time), plus mileage reimbursement at for travel outside the service area Schedule: 10-15 hours/week to start, with flexibility Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Responsibilities

Cook multiple meals in clients' kitchens and package everything for easy reheating
Travel to client homes across Anne Arundel, Howard, and Montgomery County
Keep a clean, professional kitchen workspace at every visit
Communicate directly and professionally with clients and the Simply Prima team
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper handling procedures throughout all stages of food preparation

Qualifications

2+ years of professional kitchen, private chef, or meal prep experience
Confident and comfortable working independently in a client's home
Strong time management - multiple dishes, one kitchen, one timeline
Calm under pressure, clear communicator, takes feedback well
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (required within 30 days of hire if not already held)
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality and service excellence

Nice to Have

Experience with special diets - gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, food allergies
Experience with family-style or batch cooking
