Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Costodian to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting cost analysis initiatives within our manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help drive strategic decision-making through precise financial data interpretation and effective cost management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills and accounting experience will make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

Prepare and interpret financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and payment scheduling
Conduct detailed cost accounting analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation
Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks for data collection, transaction recording, and financial data management
Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports using spreadsheets and business intelligence tools
Assist with internal audits, including SOX compliance checks, internal controls testing, and audit documentation preparation

Skills

Extensive experience with financial accounting principles, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting standards
Proficiency in financial report writing, spreadsheet analysis (Excel), and data analysis skills for effective financial insights
Strong knowledge of accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Quicken
Expertise in cost management, cost analysis, and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with ERP systems integration for seamless financial data flow and reporting
Ability to interpret complex financial concepts related to GAAP and SOX compliance
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform cash flow analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet review
Experience with public accounting practices is a plus but not required
Strong understanding of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger reconciliation
Knowledge of business intelligence tools for advanced financial analysis and reporting
