Job Summary

General Manager – Phoenix Restoration Business

Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | $120,000–$150,000+ per year

This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in a growing restoration business in the Phoenix market. The business is positioned for significant future growth, and the right leader will have the opportunity to expand their responsibility, impact, and compensation as the company grows.

We are looking for an experienced restoration leader who can lead the business, build a strong sales culture, improve operational performance, and drive profitable growth.

You will oversee all aspects of the operation, including sales, customer relationships, production, finance, business development, and team development. The goal is to build a high-performing organization that consistently meets or exceeds its revenue, profitability, and customer-service objectives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
(includes but is not limited to)

Leadership

Provide overall leadership and direction for the Phoenix operation.
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, market share, and profitability.
Establish goals, KPIs, and accountability throughout the organization.
Build and maintain a culture of performance, accountability, and high morale.
Lead and develop managers, salespeople, production staff, and support personnel.
Communicate regularly with ownership regarding performance, opportunities, and challenges.

Sales, Growth & Profitability

Build a strong sales and business-development culture.
Develop relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, contractors, property managers, real estate professionals, and other referral partners.
Identify and pursue opportunities to increase market share and revenue.
Ensure jobs are properly estimated, managed, and completed to protect gross profit margins.
Monitor job costing and hold the team accountable for production performance.
Meet or exceed monthly revenue, expense, and profitability objectives.

Operations & Finance

Oversee day-to-day restoration operations from initial customer contact through project completion.
Ensure operational excellence across estimating, scheduling, production, invoicing, and collections.
Monitor job-level margins, budgets, cash flow, and overall P&L performance.
Identify operational efficiencies that improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Establish systems and processes that allow the business to scale.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

People & Team Development

Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop top-performing employees.
Build a strong leadership team and develop future managers.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Create a positive, professional, and accountable work environment.
Maintain high standards for customer service and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

5+ years of professional restoration industry experience.
Proven leadership experience managing restoration teams and operations.
5+ years of P&L responsibility leading an organization, branch, or business unit.
Demonstrated ability to grow revenue while improving profitability.
Strong understanding of restoration operations, production, estimating, and job costing.
Experience working with insurance claims and restoration-related referral channels.
Strong sales and business-development skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
Highly organized, accountable, and results-oriented.
Customer-focused with a strong commitment to quality and service.

Preferred:

Experience managing a restoration company, branch, or multi-department operation.
Experience with water, fire, mold, reconstruction, or other property restoration services.
Background working with insurance carriers, adjusters, TPA/vendor programs, contractors, and property managers.
Experience with Xactimate.
Proven track record of scaling a restoration business.
Experience building and managing a high-performing sales organization.
