Summary
The Human Resource Assistant administers specific Human Resource functions specifically, payroll and recruitment activities for Amron, A Division of AMTEC Corporation under the guidance of the Human Resource Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Processes employee payroll information (timecards, Kronos punches, deduction authorizations, etc.), ensuring accurate and timely payment made to employees for each payroll period.

Ensures status changes and time records are accurate and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved.

Files required documents and reports according to Amron, A Division of AMTEC Corporation’s and state and federal payroll guidelines (i.e.unemployment data, garnishments, etc.)

Responds to payroll questions and concerns of employees, researching records and involving other resources/staff as needed.

Keeps current with HR payroll policies and public policy changes affecting payroll rules and guidelines; provides input to policies and procedures for payroll processing.

Coordinates with HR Manager regarding payroll related administration requirements and individual employee payroll needs.

Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.

Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific match to job requests and matching to job requirements.

Reviews employment applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training and job skills and to provide information about the organization and position.

Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.

Writes and places job advertising in various media.

Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates. Performs searches for qualified job candidates using sources such as media advertisements, job fairs or employee referrals.

Performs reference and background checks on applicants.

Coordinates communications with applicants.

Coordinates Company-wide Wellness Activities and Lunches and performs other duties as requested.

Education and/or Experience
Desires a 2 yr. Associate’s degree in Business and/or equivalent education with a minimum of one-three years of experience with processing payroll in-house and successfully performing recruitment activities a must; Proficient Intermediate Microsoft Office skills a must; Demonstrated attention to detail required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
