UNICO is seeking an engineering graduate (Civil preferred) to work on the construction management of bridge, roadway and or utility projects. Prefer 2-3 years' experience in construction management, construction, land development, or design of infrastructure projects, or multiple student internships in the construction industry. Type of infrastructure projects include bridges / structures, roadways, green infrastructure, curb, gutter, sidewalk, underground utilities, earthwork, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidate must have experience working in a team environment.
Responsibilites:
- Maintain tracking logs
- Review submittals
- Draft responses to RFIs and letters
- Perform independent cost analyses for extra work
- Perform quantity takeoffs
- Reviewing quantity sheets
- Prepare the agenda for the weekly construction meetings
- Attend the weekly construction meetings and take meeting minutes
- Review certified payroll and perform labor compliance interviews
- Review and track DBE utilization
- Maintain the project records
- Assist with project closeout documentation
- Perform site inspection as needed
Qualifications:
- Certified as an Engineer-in-Training (preferred).
- BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering (preferred), OR
- Four (4) years of relevant Construction Engineering experience
