Operating a forklift, the Shipper Receiver will load and unload all trucks and managing the stock in Polyethics’ warehouse. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, general administration, pulling and organizing orders, working with scheduling to accurately meet client orders, and unloading/loading shunt trucks. Knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate a forklift to move skids of product, and load and unload trucks, in a warehouse environment;
· Coordinating with scheduling, pick orders according to required shipments/pick-ups;
· Review all paperwork and shipments received and sign off as required;
· Receive finished goods from production department and accurately inventory;
· Organize and maintain a clean and ordered warehouse;
· Wrap skids of product for shipments;
· Provide general administration, ensure all paperwork is complete;
· Maintain relationships with all clients and co-workers, providing solid customer service;
· Accountable to effectively track and resolve shipping issues that may arise;
· Establish and maintain effective communication with the management team;
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Exchange propane on lift trucks according to Health and Safety Procedures;
· Perform and document tow motor safety checks daily prior to use of tow motor;
· Ability to fill in and operate pallet truck, tow motors and lift carts as required;
· Adherence to all Health & Safety, Fire Emergency, and Polyethics Policies and Procedures;
· Ensure work area is clean, secure and well maintained;
· Attend and participate in meetings as necessary;
· Other responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· A minimum of two years of relevant shipping and receiving experience;
· Well organized, strong attention to detail and accuracy with solid customer service;
· Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure;
· Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel;
· Capacity to effectively communicate, and provide clear information to others;
· High school graduate or equivalent preferred;
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
