Position Overview

Apocus is a rapidly growing pharmaceutical organization operating both an FDA-registered 503B Outsourcing Facility and an expanding 503A Compounding Pharmacy, serving healthcare providers nationwide.

Our mission is to become a premier provider of high-quality sterile compounded medications, personalized therapies, and office-use pharmaceuticals by combining uncompromising quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

As we continue to expand nationally, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Strategic Account Executive to help build and grow our commercial organization. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role responsible for developing strategic relationships with hospitals, health systems, physician practices, infusion centers, specialty clinics, and other healthcare providers.

The successful candidate will represent both our 503A personalized compounding services and our 503B office-use pharmaceutical portfolio, helping providers identify innovative solutions while driving long-term business growth.

This position is ideal for an accomplished pharmaceutical sales professional who understands the hospital and provider purchasing process, is comfortable engaging pharmacy directors, physicians, administrators, procurement teams, and clinical leadership, and has a proven track record of developing new business and managing strategic accounts.

Experience selling within the 503A compounding, 503B outsourcing, specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, infusion, or injectable pharmaceutical markets is highly preferred. Experience with both 503A and 503B markets is strongly desired.

Base Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 + Bonus + Long Term Incentive Package

Key Responsibilities

Account Development & Sales

Identify, target, and close new hospital pharmacy accounts across an assigned geographic territory or national vertical
Build relationships with pharmacy directors, VP-level pharmacy leaders, and GPO/IDN procurement contacts
Manage a full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and onboarding
Maintain a disciplined pipeline and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Account Management & Retention

Serve as the primary point of contact for existing accounts; drive reorder frequency and formulary expansion
Monitor account health, proactively address supply or service issues, and reduce churn
Partner with operations and customer service to ensure smooth order fulfillment and documentation delivery (CoAs, BUDs, SDSs)

Market Intelligence & Reporting

Track shortage opportunities and alert accounts to Apocus availability in real time
Provide weekly pipeline and activity reports via CRM
Attend key industry conferences including ASHP Midyear, state pharmacy association meetings, and relevant GPO events

Qualifications

Required

5-10 years of sales experience in 503A/B compounding, specialty pharma, or hospital/health system pharmaceutical sales
Established relationships with hospital pharmacy directors, clinical pharmacists, or institutional procurement personnel
Working knowledge of 503A/B regulatory framework, USP 797/800, cGMP requirements, and standard hospital formulary processes
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with 60–120 day close timelines
Willingness to travel 50-80% for customer visits, facility tours, and conference attendance
Proficiency with CRM platforms (Zoho, Salesforce or equivalent)

Preferred

Experience selling into GPO or IDN contract channels
Existing relationships with Clinics, Hospitals, Med Spa, IV Nutrition, VA, DoD, or federal health system pharmacy buyers
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, business, or related field
Located in Texas or a major metropolitan area with direct flight access
