Associate Account Executive - New Business Development

Remote (U.S.) | Limited Travel Required | Base Salary + Performance Incentives + Commission Opportunities

Suntell is looking for a future Account Executive.

The path starts with prospecting.

We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional who is hungry to succeed, willing to do the hard work of opening doors, and excited to build a long-term career in software sales.

This role is focused exclusively on generating new business opportunities with community banks and credit unions across the United States.

Success in this position comes from preparation, persistence, curiosity, and a willingness to pick up the phone every day. While email, social media, and technology play a supporting role, meaningful conversations are what create opportunities in our market.

If you believe prospecting is primarily sending emails and hoping someone responds, this role is probably not for you.

Community bank and credit union executives are busy. They do not spend their days responding to cold emails. Earning their attention requires professionalism, persistence, thoughtful conversations, and the ability to navigate gatekeepers and organizational structures.

You will hear "no."

You will leave voicemails that are never returned.

You will call people multiple times before earning a conversation.

What You'll Do

Generate new business opportunities with community banks and credit unions
Prospect and engage executive-level decision makers
Conduct outbound phone prospecting to generate qualified meetings
Build relationships and credibility with banking and credit union leaders
Navigate gatekeepers and organizational structures to reach the right people
Develop a deep understanding of our ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, products, and value proposition
Learn the business challenges facing financial institutions and how Suntell helps solve them
Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for our Account Executive
Maintain accurate prospect and activity information within Salesforce
Work directly with company leadership to help develop prospecting strategies, messaging, and campaigns
Attend approximately 6-10 banking industry conferences and trade shows annually
Represent Suntell professionally in every prospect interaction

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful:

Other professional roles that require persistence, relationship building, and strong communication skills

Previous banking experience is a plus, but not required.

What is required is a willingness to learn the industry, understand our customers, and become knowledgeable enough to have credible conversations with executive decision makers.
