***THIS IS A LIVE IN CAREGIVER POSITION*** Please do not apply if you are looking for hourly position. Must be able to live in 3-4 days/week.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Caregiver to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals in our Assisted Living Home. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a warm, safe, and engaging environment for residents with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing cognitive challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer's. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while positively impacting lives every day.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to ensure health stability
Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through tailored engagement and behavior management techniques
Operate manual handling equipment safely to lift or transfer residents while preventing injury to both caregiver and resident
Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents during meal times
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control procedures

Experience

Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices
Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings
Valid certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments enhances your ability to provide empathetic care
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while supporting residents’ mobility needs
