Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Seamstress/Drapery Seamstress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and customizing roman shades and drapery items, ensuring each piece meets precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring clients’ visions to life through expert sewing, fabric handling, and meticulous craftsmanship. Part time to start with opportunity for growth and full time position.

Responsibilities

Measure fabrics and materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and dimensions for each project.
Cut fabric manually or with industrial cutting tools following detailed patterns and specifications.
Operate sewing machines, serging equipment, and embroidery machines efficiently to assemble garments or drapery components.
Construct garments or drapery items by sewing seams, attaching linings, hems, and finishing details according to quality standards in production.
Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, transfer, and preparation for sewing processes while maintaining safety standards in production environments.
Perform quality checks throughout the sewing process to meet strict quality standards in production; make adjustments as needed for accuracy.
Use measuring instruments for dimensional measurements to guarantee precise fitting and finishing of finished products.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards in production at all times.

Experience

Proven experience working as a seamstress or drapery seamstress in a manufacturing or custom tailoring environment.
Familiarity with industrial sewing machines, serging equipment, embroidery machines, and sewing machine maintenance.
Experience measuring fabrics and materials using various measuring instruments with precision.
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe working space at all times.
