Year-round work. No winter layoffs. $28–$42/hr + overtime.

Most heavy equipment operator jobs in the Fox Valley lay you off every November. This one doesn't. We run grading and pavement through the warm months and snow-and-ice services all winter — so you're on the clock and cashing checks twelve months a year, not scrambling for work when the temperature drops.

About the Role

We're hiring a heavy equipment operator to run grading and pavement work on our crew. From cutting and setting base to grade, to laying concrete and asphalt, you run the iron that gets the job right from the ground up — work we're proud to put our name on.

This isn't a big-outfit grind where you're a number. You'd be part of a tight crew that notices good work and pays for it. Your pay grows with your skills — the more seats you can run and the sharper your work, the higher you move up the range.

What You'll Do

Operate grading equipment to cut and set base to grade
Run pavers, rollers, and trucks on asphalt paving jobs
Dial in the accurate grade the paving depends on
Lay down clean compaction and finish work that holds up
Keep your equipment serviced, safe, and job-ready
Pitch in with crew prep and cleanup when the day needs it

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

Experience running heavy equipment for grading, paving, or both
A good eye for grade, feel for the machine, and pride in the finished work
Dependable, safety-minded, and a team player
Willing to put in the hours when the weather's right and the work is there

Nice-to-haves (these push you up the pay range):

Both grading and paving experience — that's our sweet spot!
Grader, screed, roller, or paver time
Class A or B CDL — but if you're a strong operator without one, we'll help you get it

Pay & Benefits

$28–$42/hr, based on experience and skill
Overtime available in season — real money on top of your base
Year-round work — no seasonal layoffs
Posible sign-on bonus for the best candidates.
