Position Summary
The Bellman / Lobby Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming first and last impression for every guest by providing exceptional customer service, assisting with luggage, maintaining the appearance of the lobby and public areas, and safely operating the hotel shuttle. This position requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
Assist guests with luggage to and from guest rooms, vehicles, and the shuttle.
Provide information about the hotel, local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options.
Operate the hotel shuttle to transport guests safely to and from the airport or other approved destinations.
Inspect the shuttle before each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, entrance, bell closet, and surrounding public areas.
Assist with guest requests, including directions, amenities, and special accommodations.
Deliver guest items, packages, and amenities to guest rooms.
Assist with snow removal, salting entrances, luggage carts, and keeping exterior entryways clean and presentable as needed.
Monitor the front entrance and assist guests entering and exiting the property.
Work closely with the Front Desk and other departments to ensure excellent guest service.
Follow all hotel safety, security, and brand standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Schedule & Availability
Must be available to work shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule will vary based on business needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
Must be able to safely operate passenger vans or shuttle vehicles in accordance with company policies.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely enter and exit the shuttle vehicle multiple times throughout the day.
Work Environment
This position requires frequent interaction with guests and team members in both indoor and outdoor environments. Employees must maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous, prompt, and efficient service while representing the hotel at all times.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
