Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Teen Services & Workforce Readiness to lead innovative programs that empower teens and prepare them for future success. This role involves managing comprehensive youth initiatives, building strong relationships with community partners, and overseeing program development that promotes skill-building, behavioral health, and workforce readiness. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth development, possess exceptional management skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment committed to positive impact. Hours are 11a to 7p.
Duties
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teen-focused programs that promote leadership, social skills, and workforce preparedness
- Develop strategic partnerships with schools, local businesses, and community organizations to expand program reach and resources
- Supervise staff and program coordinators, providing mentorship and performance feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements
- Oversee data collection and reporting to measure program outcomes and demonstrate community impact
- Coordinate behavioral health initiatives to support teens’ emotional well-being and resilience
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages positive relationships among youth, staff, families, and community stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven management experience with a track record of leading youth or community programs
- Strong background in program development related to adolescent services or workforce training
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is highly desirable
- Excellent relationship management skills to build partnerships across diverse groups
- Demonstrated administrative expertise including budgeting, reporting, and staff supervision
- Knowledge of social work principles and best practices in youth engagement
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on team development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Three years of experience working with at-risk children, youth, and families
- Flexibility needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work across cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and socio-economic groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work with program team, at risk youth, parents, and community leaders.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competency in general office equipment usage including copier, printers, fax, and cash register.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Experience in establishing and leading programs, activities, and services for at risk youth.
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving history.
- Proven ability to motivate AT RISK youth and manage behavior problems.
- Proven ability to attract, train, supervise, and motivate staff (both full-time and part-time).
- Proven ability to deal with the public.
- Proven ability to plan, market and implement quality programs using a youth development strategy.
- Proven ability to organize and supervise AT RISK members in a safe environment.
- Commitment to model and promote a lifestyle of health, wellness, and fitness.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must possess a clean driving record.Job Responsibilities:
Program Director
- Provide quality program for grades 9-12.
- Supervision of staff.
- Transport members from school to the club daily.
- Implements program activities that contribute to a positive climate where students are actively engaged.
- Create a recruitment plan.
- Lead the Keystone service & leadership group.
Be Great Graduate Coordinator
- Oversee the Graduate & Career Coordinators in OASD schools.
- Organize and implement the Be Great Graduate program based on the established curriculum, outcomes,
and measurements agreed upon in the grant proposal.
- Hold regular check-in meetings.
- Coordinate meetings between incoming freshman and the Graduate & Career Coordinators.
- Regularly check in with the OASD appointed liaison to talk about needs and support.
- Ensure all Be Great Coordinators are up to 20 kids each.
- Ensure each Graduation & Career Coordinator completes reports and required data tracking information.
Workforce Readiness
- Ensure workforce readiness programming is being carried out in all programs of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh.
o Develop and deliver programs for grades 6-8 and grades 9-12.
o Work with K-2, and 3-5 directors to ensure workforce readiness programming is being offered. Offer support if needed.
- Develop and deliver engaging, educational, hands-on, minds-on activities include soft skills, career exploration, and more.
- Explore new occupations with members by bringing in information, supplies, and offering time for members to explore.
- Coordinate presentations to club members.
- Coordinate trips to area businesses for career exploration.
- Ensure Career Launch is implemented, facilitated, and reported.
- Support members in exploring post-secondary education programs.
- Ensure club members receive the needed information and help with the FAFSA application.
- Support Members in finding a local job.

o Transportation needs (bus route, etc.)
Training Committee
- With the training committee, develop staff trainings to improve the overall program.
Community Center & Partners
- Help build strong relationships with external partners that enhance the organization’s profile, support its strategic priorities, and create opportunities for mission advancement.
- Connect with the Oshkosh Area School District to advertise and talk with students and staff about what the
Boys & Girls Club is currently offering and what’s to come.
- Connecting with Community Partners to talk through occupations, demonstrations, opportunities within the
workplace, etc.
- Host an annual Youth Job Fair & Career Showcase/Exploration that strives to connect local employers
seeking workers with teens interested in finding a jobOther
- Assist in crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
- Models professional and ethical standards
- Meets professional obligations, paperwork, and deadlines through efficient, organized work habits.
- Mandated child abuse reporter.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects.
- Good vision and hearing necessary to complete tasks.

Pay: $46,050.79 - $48,000.00 per year
