Hi everyone,
We’re recruiting child neurologists, adult neurologists, child psychiatrists, and adult neurologists to join a specialist network supporting rural clinicians.
The position is remote and flexible with no set shifts or call schedules. You are paid per encounter that you choose to participate in without obligation. Clinicians text in questions, which appear in the group’s inbox. You can turn on notifications or log in whenever you have time. You review the questions and respond to those that fit your interests and expertise. You can scale up or down depending on your schedule. There is no documentation burden or billing codes. It can be a low-pressure way to "earn while scrolling" as a side gig. Or to stay engaged in clinical mentorship during semi-retirement or retirement. Your expertise is valuable.
Compensation is per “question thread” that you lead. The lead is the first person to respond. Sometimes one message response is all that is needed, and other times there may be a couple of back-and-forth messages, but it is not longitudinal. Other specialists can jump in or sidebar with each other, so everyone can learn in a collaborative environment. This is the perfect way to see the different styles and perspectives of our adult, pediatric, neurology, and psychiatry peers. The network is meant to be an educational service that helps rural clinicians practice at the top of their licenses.
This is not an e-consult. You won’t have access to charts: you do not document in the chart or bill insurance. You do not communicate directly with patients. The primary clinician retains full responsibility for medical decisions. Clinicians only share de-identified information. You’re serving in an advisory/teaching role. You do not need to be licensed in the clinician’s state. Providing curbside-style advice is generally considered low risk, and you will be covered under the organization’s liability insurance.
We’re recruiting adult neurologists, child neurologists, adult psychiatrists, and child psychiatrists. The network is a grant-funded initiative to increase access to specialty care.
